Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 29, 8:30 am-1 pm, to join the Montgomery County Master Gardeners for a great Grow It Eat It event at the Extension headquarters in Derwood, MD.
All the details can be found at our class link here. We’ll have speakers on seed saving, fall/winter veggie gardening, growing grapes and making wine, garden pests, cooking with herbs, and food preservation (all FREE but the last, which requires a fee and preregistration. We appreciate donations!). The demonstration garden will be open and we’ll have lots of demos and people happy to talk to you at length about growing food. You can bring a lunch or buy food on site, and have a picnic. Buy some veggie plants and take home a free composting bin! Your kids can plant beans! Bring your gardening tools and learn how to take care of them! And much more.
We’re going to have a lot of fun – hope to see you there. I’ll be the one in the purple shirt and the green hat.
